A circular porcelain “Neubrandenstein” form tureen with palmette handles. The handle on the lid is formed by a boy kneeling next to a cornucopia. The surface features relief ribbing with a raised band of “Neu–Oziermuster” basketweave in the lower section. The outside is painted with vibrantly coloured German flowers.

The same kneeling putto figure on the lid of the tureen can be seen in the complete collection of dishware for the Dulong company of Amsterdam dating from 1743.  The putto here responds to the successful service created in 1741 by J. F. Eberlein for Clement Augustus, Elector of Cologne. J. J. Kändler also created a similar tureen in September 1742.
